Civilization

Women have always been seen as the bearers of the Nature, whereas men have been seen as the bearers of the Civilization. What is the reason for this?
One theory says that each human being yearns for immortality. Women have reached this by having children. Giving life to a baby means sending a part of you to the future - a mother is reflected in her children - and their children - and their children - and so on, in the infinity. On the other hand, a man, with all the uncertainty of fatherhood that life brings, cannot look at his children as his continuation. Therefore, a man seeks for other ways to ensure his immortality. He does this by creating things - inventing, discovering, writing and so on. And in the course he creates Civilization with all its creature comforts.
However, Civilization in the current stage brings, apart from all the negative aspects raging from violence to exploitation of natural resources, something that men did not foresee: the emancipation of women. Just see - all the "less civilized" societies are patriarchal, but the more "civilized" a society is, the more power do its women want.
Funny, is it not? Only thanks to the creation of the men do women now have such power. I wonder if they realize it.
